Oklahoma vs. Nebraska

There’s something that just feels right about the Sooners and Huskers tangling on Thanksgiving Day. It used to be as much a part of the holiday as the Macy’s Parade.

These two teams have produced some spectacular moments for their respective fanbases: Derrick Strait‘s interception return that solidified Oklahoma’s return to the college football elite in 2000, Johnny Rodgers‘ punt return in the 1972 Game of the Century and Landry Jones‘ comeback to win the 2010 Big 12 Championship game are all a part of Sooners’ and Cornhuskers’ lore forever.

Yes, the Cornhuskers have some work to do to make this game into what it used to be, but even in seasons where one team isn’t playing up to snuff, there’s still plenty of name value to make this a win for both programs as well as the conference in whole.
