The roster

The Sooners lose some major pieces to their latest Big 12 Championship team going into next season, but there’s also a lot of guys coming back (not to mention those who are waiting in the wings).

Yes Oklahoma says goodbye to Heisman-winner Kyler Murray as well as four offensive linemen in Cody Ford, Ben Powers, Dru Samia and Bobby Evans (all of which could be drafted). H-back Carson Meier and receiver Marquise Brown also depart the team on offense. Defensively only one starter graduates, but it is a big one in Curtis Bolton.

Luckily the Sooners are gettting some help at the quarterback spot with the transfer of Jalen Hurts. He comes in with a 26-2 record as a starter and a National Championship ring already on his finger. He has a tough act to follow after what very well may have been the two best all-around quarterbacks in school history winning back-to-back Heisman Trophies before him and he still has to beat out four-star redshirt freshman Tanner Mordecai and incoming five-star true freshman Spencer Rattler.
