Theo Wease, wide receiver

Now we enter the trio of five-star receiver commits, all of which could be placed as 1a, b and c and at the top of our impact early enrollee list, but we found a couple of small distinctions we will go over as we progress to No. 1.

Wease is one of the best recruits in the country at any position and looks like he is tailor-made to fit in Lincoln Riley’s explosive scheme. He’ll have to battle incumbents CeeDee Lamb and Charleston Rambo for playing time, but the way Oklahoma rotates receivers that shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Expect to see Wease get early playing time as the Sooners explore and tinker with new offensive packages to maximize their embarrasment of riches at receiver.

Jadon Haselwood, wide receiver

Haselwood got an ever-so-slight edge over Wease in this ranking because he seems to be slightly more developed physically than his fellow five-star recruit.

That’s not to say that this might change before the start of the season (or even the start of spring practice) as both guys hit the weight room and get on Bennie Wylie’s fitness plan. He faces the same talented list of seemingly-entrenched starters, but it just seems like these guys are too talented to redshirt.
