2. Dec. 1, 2007 — Oklahoma 38, Missouri 17 in San Antonio, Texas

Missouri entered the 2007 Big 12 Championship as the No. 1 team in the nation after beating No. 2 Kansas in the game before. The Tigers’ opponent was No. 9 Oklahoma. The Sooners were 9-3 coming into the game. Missouri boasted an 11-1 record, its only loss coming against OU, 41-31, earlier in the regular season.

The Tigers drew first blood on a 28-yard first-quarter field goal. The Sooners scored twice in the second quarter on touchdown run by Chris Brown. Missouri added a field goal and a four-yard TD run by MU quarterback Chase Daniel to send the two teams to the locker room at halftime tied at 14.

The second half was all Sooners, as OU outscored Missouri 24-3 and coasted to a 38-17 win over the top-ranked Tigers, knocking the Tigers out of a chance to play for the national championship. Sam Bradford led the Sooners to the victory, completing 18 of 26 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Allen Patrick added 88 yards on the ground and a touchdown and Brown contributed 71 rushing yards and a couple of TD runs.
