No. 4 TCU Horned Frogs (8-4, 6-3)

Head coach Gary Patterson has long been known for his stifling, pressure defenses. The 2018 Horned Frog defense may not be as strong as in seasons past, but the offense should be better. That combination is good enough to make TCU a solid contender to dethrone Oklahoma from the top of the conference.

TCU loses Kenny Hill at quarterback, but should be in fine shape with sophomore Shawn Robinson taking over. Robinson was rated as a four-star recruit. The Horned Frogs are solid at running back with the return of Darius Anderson, a talented back with game-breaking ability who was forced out of action with a leg injury late last season. And they have several playmakers in the receiving corps.

Look for TCU to pound the ball with the run game, lulling their opponents into vulnerability on deep passing routes. You are going to have to score some points to beat the Horned Frogs, because the Horned Frog offense is going to get theirs, and history tells us the defense is going to make you work especially hard for all of yours
