The Bottom line

if Oklahoma is going to win this game, they are going to have to play with as much or greater urgency that Oklahoma State is expected to bring. The Cowboys know that the only chance they have to make it into the NCAA Tournament next week is to beat the Sooners in the opening game of the Big 12 Tournament.

The Sooners have been knocked out in their first game in the Big 12 Tournament six of the last nine years, and two of those knock-out punches have been delivered by Oklahoma State.

The stakes are extremely high for both teams on Wednesday night in Kansas City. The two teams are so closely matched that online handicapper SportsbookReview.com has the game as a “pick’em.”

Sorry, Sooner fans. Here’s my pick: Oklahoma State 78, Oklahoma 73.

Maybe by picking against the Sooners for once, it will bring them a stroke of good luck.
