No. 6 – Jason White, 2003 Heisman Trophy winner, OU quarterback (2001-04)

Jason White led Oklahoma to Big 12 championships in 2002 and 2004, playing for head coach Bob Stoops. His best season as a Sooner, however, was the 2003 season, when he completed 62 percent of his pass attempts for 3,846 yards, 40 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He won the Heisman that season, becoming OU’s fourth Heisman recipient but first in 25 years.

The week before the Heisman ceremony, though, playing in the Big 12 Championship game, Kansas State ruined top-ranked Oklahoma’s perfect season, handing White and the Sooners their first loss in 13 games and in resounding fashion, 35-7.

Despite playing on two surgically repaired knees, White quarterbacked Oklahoma in two BCS National Championships. OU lost to LSU 21-14 in 2003 and was soundly defeated by USC in the national championship game the following season by a score of 55-19.

White ranks fourth on the OU career passing leaderboard with 7,922 yards passing, 81 career touchdowns and a 152.7 passing efficiency rating.

White was also a Heisman finalist in 2004, but finished third in the voting, behind Heisman winner Matt Leinart of USC and Sooner teammate Adrian Peterson.
