November 28: The Sooners Finish Up In Stillwater
Why OU Might Win
An OU victory may be in the cards if Bob Stoops refrains from making any boneheaded kicking game decisions. That said, rivalry games are difficult to predict, and Bedlam is no exception. Even though OU owns a commanding 84-18-7 edge in the series, anyone who’s ever attended this game knows how intense it gets.
Even though Mason Rudolph will play well for Oklahoma State, the Sooners offense will prove to be too much for the overmatched Cowboys, who will drop this game in Stillwater. As many other Bedlam games before it, this one will be a battle but the edge will go to OU. And there will be no kicking game fiascos for the Sooners.
Why OU Might Lose
For 2015, many football observers are picking Oklahoma State as a dark horse team to compete for a Big 12 title. A big reason for this is the late season emergence of young quarterback Mason Rudolph, who came on strong during the last three games of the season, throwing for 853 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions.
In 2015, Rudolph will prove his 2014 emergence was no fluke as he leads Oklahoma State to challenge for Big 12 supremacy. Rudolph will continue his winning ways during the 2015 Bedlam contest as Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma for the second year in a row.
Interesting Fact
T. Boone Pickens, perhaps OSU’s most famous alumnus (and certainly its most generous benefactor) was, along with Carl Icahn, one of the original corporate raiders during the 1980s. Pickens was despised by the executive leaders of companies he believed were not properly managed.
Pickens attended Texas A&M for one year before transferring to what was then called Oklahoma A&M.
