Injury Report: #11 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns
By Joe Buettner
Things aren’t so bright and sunny around Norman. Mainly because Oklahoma weather is awfully mood-swingy.
Regardless, the Oklahoma Sooners are coming off its first loss since OU was blasted in Waco, Texas last November. OU is still missing a few key components, but things could be a lot worse.

Oklahoma Sooners:
Keith Ford (foot) — Out
It’ll be tough not having Keith Ford available this week. Alex Ross has struggled as of late, and we’ve learned Josh Heupel’s game plan doesn’t include Samaje Perine running the ball as often as some fans would like. Regardless, you don’t want to risk anything, especially this early in Keith Ford’s playing career. Ford’s return will hopefully come next week when OU returns to Norman for the first time since September 13.
Matt Dimon (elbow) — Out
Charles Walker (knee) — Out
Dimon and Walker are still recovering, and Bob Stoops ruled them out earlier in the week.
Texas Longhorns (per CFB Reference):
Miles Onyegbule (knee) — Out for season
The tight end-turned-quarterback (anti-Blake Bell?) tore multiple knee ligaments in fall camp, but per Burnt Orange Nation, he wasn’t expected to play much this season.
Erik Huhn (knee) — Out for season
Huhn, a redshirt freshman safety, underwent knee surgery in early September. He did not dress for the North Texas game, and he’ll have to wait another year to make his debut.
David Ash (concussion) — Out for season
Texas quarterback David Ash decided to call it quits after suffering too many concussions in his playing career. Tough break for Ash, and we wish nothing but for the best for him in the future.
Kendall Thompson (concussion) — Out for season
The senior linebacker was dismissed from the team, but left due to medical reasons as well.
Dominic Espinosa (ankle) — Out for season
Starting center Dominic Espinosa’s senior season was cut short after suffering a broken ankle in UT’s season opener. Espinosa underwent season-ending surgery.
Daje Johnson (hamgstring) — Probable
Trey Scott of Horns247 reports Johnson is “probable” for Saturday’s game. He’s only recorded one carry this season, which came against the Baylor Bears that went for five yards.
Desmond Jackson (ankle) — Out for season
Starting defensive tackle Desmond Jackson’s senior season was cut short as well. Jackson left the UCLA game with an ankle injury, and he underwent season-ending surgery.
