College football’s 25 Most Intriguing Quarterbacks of 2014

"Trevor Knight, Oklahoma. A significant part of the optimism attached to the Sooners this season emanates from Knight’s revelatory Sugar Bowl performance: 32 of 44 passing for 348 yards and four touchdowns against Alabama. It was a departure from the disappointing form he showed during the regular season, when Knight was named the starter before the year and failed to keep the job. If the Sugar show was who Knight is going to be in 2014, the Sooners are going to be hard to stop. Read more at Yahoo Sports"

"Lacoltan Bester never would have made the game-saving swat that ultimately defeated Oklahoma State, earned OU a Sugar Bowl berth and turned the college football world on its head if he had walked away from football months earlier. A big, tall athlete from Scooba, Miss., Bester began his collegiate career as a quarterback at East Mississippi Community College. After switching to receiver, he helped lead his team to a junior-college national championship in 2011. Bester seemed like a godsend for Oklahoma in May 2012, when he became a late addition to the Sooners’ signing class after Stoops suspended veteran wideouts Jaz Reynolds, Trey Franks and Kameel Jackson indefinitely. Going bigger could speed up OU’s offense

"Oklahoma wants to go back to its up-tempo offensive roots this season. However, that doesn’t mean loading the field with speedy receivers. The Sooners wish to employ more tight ends and fullbacks this season. Getting more bulk on the field is one of the reasons. Being able to have multi-talented players on the field is what offensive coordinator Josh Heupel truly desires. Read more at Norman Transcript"
