This season’s offensive line will have a good share of upperclassmen, but missing will be Gabe Ikard. He was the anchor of Oklahoma’s line, but the Sooners should be in good hands with Daryl Williams returning and like Striker, he has high pro potential.
An All-Big 12 second team selection a year ago, Williams started in every game last year. He played at right tackle before moving to left tackle for the Allstate Sugar Bowl against Alabama.
Losing offensive linemen mid-season usually force coaches to throw young guys in to the fire or shift players around.
There is no lack of leadership here, though. The line should be in good hands with Daryl Williams, as well as Ty Darlington at center. Oklahoma, also returns, Dionte Savage, Nila Kasitati, and Tyrus Thompson.
OU should have one of the best insurance policies in the conference with Williams protecting Knight and Co.
