Continued Success Running the Ball

While the Sooners have struggled throwing the ball the first two games of the season, the same cannot be said of their run game.  The duo of Damien Williams and Brennan Clay has been phenomenal to this point. They combined for 265 yards in the WVU game and are anticipated to have continued success this game.

Brennan Clay said after the West Virginia game that it is his goal for both him and Damien Williams to surpass 1000 yards by the end of the season. With the sample of playcalling that Josh Heupel has shown show far and the way the passing game has struggled I would say that this goal is very obtainable.

The running game will need to get off to a good start during this contest as it has in previous weeks to open lanes for receivers and also to provide a crutch if the offense struggles with the passing game yet again.
