The Oklahoma Sooners Offensive Line

The Oklahoma Sooners offensive line is considered a strong point this season. There are also four running backs who can break out during any play. With a running quarterback in Trevor Knight, this could be a new era of running before passing for Bob Stoops Oklahoma Sooners. However, there is one problem.

The Louisiana-Monroe defensive line is really good. Last season, when the Warhawks went to their first ever bowl game, the Warhawks were solid in stopping the run, only allowing 3.96 yards per carry though the season. That was not just playing creampuffs either, as they played two SEC teams, where running the football is a way of life.

This will be a battle to watch, as the Sooners’ experienced offensive line tries to open holes for a defensive unit that is great at plugging them up. OU needs to get off the ball quick and get those holes open for their running game to get moving if they want to see what Trevor Knight can really do.
