Interactive Poll: Big 12 Potential New Member Blind Resume Test
By Joe Buettner
A lot of folks are calling for the Big 12 Conference to expand to 12 teams and add a conference championship game after both the Baylor Bears and TCU Horned Frogs were snubbed of a spot in the first ever College Football Playoff.
While it’s easy to say “just add Team X and Team Y!”, it’s not so simple.

The Big 12’s current format shouldn’t be penalizing them. None of the teams in the SEC, Pac-12, Big Ten, or ACC have to play EVERY school in their conference. Every school gets a shot at each other in the Big 12.
Now, sure. The whole TCU-Baylor debate is one big dumpster fire of an argument, but if you really want to expand, it has to be two quality programs.
The SEC didn’t add Texas A&M and Missouri just to have 14 teams. The Big Ten didn’t steal Nebraska away from the Big 12 just for fun. These are quality schools with good athletic programs.
Now, a few teams being thrown around are Boise State, BYU, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Houston, and Memphis.
In my opinion, the better choices don’t make as much geographical sense and I’m not really an advocate of expansion, but for fun, we put compiled a quick resume for each school mentioned above, and we want you, the fans, to choose the two best resumes if the Big 12 were to choose between them.
This is a football debate, so this is purely football accomplishments. We’ve stripped each school of their name, and we want you to pick which “team” has the best resume. We’ll reveal who you thought had the best blind resumes soon.
