Fortunately for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Bedlam is over on the football field.
Even with another college football season over and all-time series records updated, the Oklahoma Sooners' most accomplished series didn't change at all. The Sooners have beaten in-state rival Oklahoma State more than any other FBS program, according to mcubed.net.
The Sooners have beaten the Cowboys 91 times during the once annual Bedlam rivalry. OU holds a 91-20-7 advantage in the all-time series. The next team the Sooners have beaten the most is tied between Iowa State and Kansas at 80 times.
Oklahoma State did at least get the last laugh, winning the final Bedlam of the forseeable future in 2023. Unless they meet again this decade, the 2020s is the only 10-year span the two programs have split meetings. The Sooners won more games during every other decade, including a 100% winning percentage in the 1980s, 1950s and 1900s.
OU's longest wining streak in the Bedlam rivalry was 19 games between 1946 and 1964. OSU's longest streak was a mere three games between 1930 and 1933.
As for programs in their new conference, the Sooners have beaten Missouri the most with 67 wins. Most of those came when the two were in some version of the Big 12 together, though. OU has the advantage in that all-time series, 67-25-5.
The Sooners have played Texas the most with 120 matchups, two more than against Oklahoma State. The Longhorns lead the series, though, 64-51-5. That number will only increase with both programs switching from the Big 12 to the SEC at the same time last year.
As for which FBS program the Sooners have beaten the most won't change anytime soon. The soonest would be 24 years if OU plays and beats Mizzou 24 times in a row. The next closest option is beating the Longhorns 40 straight times, which would make for the greatest time in Sooner history.
