Introducing Oklahoma freshman point guard Jeremiah Fears.

Sooner Nation has witnessed all season what Fears can do, but it didn't take long for him to show off to the rest of the college basketball world on the sport's biggest stage.

Early in OU's game against the UConn Huskies in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Fears drove toward the middle of the paint, then put a UConn defender on skates with a spin move before kissing in a left-handed layup.

It was another moment for Sooner Nation, but college basketball fans everywhere took notice.

UConn head coach Dan Hurley was interviewed shortly after during the game and immediately admitted that the Huskies were having issues with stopping Fears.

Fears entered the NCAA Tournament as the Sooners' leading scorer, averaging 17 points a game as a freshman. After reclassifying from the 2026 class to play this season, Fears has still emerged as one of the best players in the country and is a projected lottery pick in this year's NBA Draft.
