The viral 6-7 meme has extended far beyond every American elementary and middle school.

A TikTok video sparked a craze of kids, and now even adults, constantly saying, "six seven" in a specific and silly way with a hand gesture (you've definitely heard it by now).

Football scores rarely reach that now special number, but with college basketball season here and programs hosting field trip days at games, the trend has invaded the sport, including at Lloyd Noble Center.

College basketball embracing viral trend

The OU women's basketball team on Friday beat North Alabama 89-61 during its field trip game in front of hundreds of local students. The highlight of the game was Zya Vann's free throw during the third quarter that pushed the Sooners' count from 66 to 67. The crowd and OU's bench went absolutely nuts as the decibel levels went beyond 100 for what could be the loudest crowd OU plays in front of all season.

First, the anticipation built as everyone in the arena knew what could come next. But only with a free throw.

Vann was then fouled on a shot to send her to the line with the pressure to make all those kids' dreams come true in that moment. She drained the first attempt.

The OU women's basketball team might have enjoyed the moment even more than the kids did.

The Sooners are from the first team to embrace this trend in front of a crowd full of kids this season. Teams around the country have created special moments when the score reached 67 on one of the sides, with Oklahoma State head coach Jacie Hoyt down the road even calling a timeout to give fans a chance to celebrate longer.
