It didn't take long for the SEC to notice some of the young talent that the Oklahoma Sooners have.

Running back Tory Blaylock and cornerback Courtland Guillory on Thursday were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. The honor was voted on by conference coaches, and coaches cannot vote for their own players.

This was the second recognition of the week for Guillory, who on Monday was included on the 2025 On3 College Football True Freshman All-American Team. That All-American team also helped point out the obvious player that SEC coaches overlooked, with OU offensive tackle Michael Fasusi getting All-American honors from On3, but not making the cut for the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Guillory was the only freshman starter this season on OU's defense that's been one of the best in the country and is the biggest reason why the Sooners are in the College Football Playoff. While appearing in every game and making 12 starts, Guillory tallied 39 tackles, a tackle for loss, six pass breakups and a QB hurry. His six pass breakups are second on the team. And Guillory has been at his best during SEC play, with 33 of his 39 tackles and five of his six pass breakups coming against conference opponents.

On the other side of the ball, Blaylock joined what was expected to be the deepest position the Sooners had on offense, but he still managed to emerge as the lead back. He leads the Sooners with 444 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 109 carries while making five starts.

Those totals include a pair of 100-yard performances. Running backs coach DeMarco Murray was the last OU back to run for 100 yards in one of his first three games in 2007 before Blaylock did this season.

Also including the overlooked Fasusi, it's clear the Sooners are set for the future to remain contenders in the SEC. With All-Freshman honors this year, Blaylock and Guillory are destined to get even greater SEC honors in the near future, and so is Fasusi.
