The No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team recorded its second-highest team score of the season, defeating the squad from Arkansas on Friday night at Lloyd Noble Center.

The Sooners' winning score of 197.825-195.975 was second this season only to their 197.950 team total in winning the Sprouts Farmer's Market Collegiate Quad over top-10 teams LSU, Utah and California earlier in January.

Senior Jordan Bowers and junior Faith Torrez dominated the competition, combining to post the high score in every individual event and tying for the all-around title with matching scores of 39.725. Bowers was the individual champion on beam and in floor exercise, with scores of 9.95 on both.

Bowers was the individual champion on beam and in floor exercise with high scores of 9.925 in both events.

Meanwhile, Torrez captured top honors on vault, tying her career-high with a 9.95 and getting the Sooners off to a strong start in their opening rotation.

Torrez also recorded a 9.95 on the uneven bars, sharing high individual honors with teammate Audrey Davis. It was the 20th time in Davis' collegiate career that she earned a 9.95 score in the event

OU's team score on bars (49.675) solidified its position as the top bars team in the nation.

Eight of Oklahoma's nine wins to start the season have come against teams ranked in the nation's top 25, including four in the top 10. Eight SEC teams are among the top 14 teams in the most recent NCAA women's gymnastics rankings.

The top-ranked Sooners will face another ranked opponent on Friday, when No. 7 Kentucky visits Lloyd Noble Center.
