It was a wild men's basketball game between the Oklahoma Sooners and No. 17 Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday night, but things got even more chaotic after the final buzzer.
The Wildcats beat the Sooners thanks to a game-winning shot with six seconds left from OU transfer Otega Oweh, who scored a career-high 28 points in his return to Lloyd Noble Center.
The intensity between the teams grew all game as it was back and forth the whole way. Oweh was also greeted with boos from Sooner Nation throughout the entire night during his return to Norman.
It also seemed Brandon Garrison's rivalry instincts kicked in as he jawed all game, especially toward OU freshman guard Jeremiah Fears. Garrison transferred to Kentucky from Oklahoma State during the offseason and was 0-2 against OU as a Cowboy.
After Oweh's future game-winner, Fears drove the length of the court only to get denied by Garrison at the bucket to end things. That's when the chaos really ensued.
Garrison rushed toward Fears after the buzzer to get chest to chest and barked in his face. A teammate pulled Garrison away, but things more tense when Fears and Jalon Moore said something back.

There was then a review to see if Garrison's actions were before or after the buzzer, because if it was before, he would have gotten a technical foul and gave OU two free throws to win the game.
Between Garrison yapping, and Oweh's emotions high with his return, game-winner and still getting booed, both teams were on edge, causing a scuffle during the handshake line.
Here's the entire sequence with more audio, from the game-winner until Oweh's going to his postgame interview. Warning, though, there is strong language.
Quite the ending in Norman between the #Sooners and Wildcats. Otega Oweh hits the game-winner against his old team, and former #okstate Cowboy Brandon Garrison came up with the clutch block. A lot of words were exchanged after the buzzer, most of them were not nice pic.twitter.com/lWA5uwuXqn

And that wasn't the end of things. Things went over the edge when fans got involved. As Kentucky players were walking back into the tunnel headed toward the locker room, a beer can was thrown at the players and narrowly missed Garrison's head.

Garrison went to social media after everything to talk even more trash toward Sooner Nation. You'd think Garrison hates the Sooners, but he's actually an Oklahoma City native and visited OU while in the transfer portal.

With only three games left in the regular season, these two teams won't meet again unless it's in the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament. Fears and Garrison also likely won't face off again unless it's in the NBA with Fears being a projected lottery pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
