Oklahoma sophomore wide receiver Manny Choice is using this spring to re-introduce himself.

OU Insider's Brandon Drumm reported that Choice has been "working quite a bit with the ones" during the Sooners' spring camp as other reporters who have observed practice also mentioned Choice and OU offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle raved about him when talking to media on Wednesday. OU wide receivers coach Emmett Jones also shared Drumm's post on X about the spring buzz surrounding Choice.

"Manny's figuring it out big-time," Arbuckle said. "He's seeing the whole picture. He's seeing the field better. He's understanding leverage, how to attack things. And, man, you wanna talk about a dude who just keeps his mouth shut and works: Manny Choice. He can't get enough reps out there. He pushes people out of the way, he volunteers to get reps."

Choice got to OU this time last year as a three-star recruit by most outlets out of Lancaster High School in Texas. On3 ranked him as high as the No. 22 wide receiver in the 2025 class. As a freshman, Choice appeared in 10 games to burn his redshirt, but most of his time came on special teams and he didn't catch a pass.

This is also the first buzz about Choice since his arrival as he's been mostly overshadowed by classmate Elijah Thomas, who was hyped up all last offseason before also barely even seeing playing time on offense. Thomas was a consensus four-star recruit who was ranked as a top-25 receiver by every major recruiting outlet. He's reportedly in a boot right now, though, and missing practice while Choice is getting noticed.

Choice also stands out at a monstrous 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds. Choice and freshman Jayden Petit are tied as the tallest receivers listed on OU's roster. That means Choice is not necessarily competing for reps with expected top receivers Isaiah Sategna III and Trell Harris, who are both speedy vertical threats. Choice, instead, adds his own wrinkle to the offense than many other receivers in the room can't.
