You are what you record says you are, but on Saturday night on the Oklahoma plains, the numbers said otherwise.

Alabama has a well-earned reputation as one of the big bad bullies of the SEC. On Saturday night, however, before sold out, 100-year-old Gaylord Family--Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and a national primetime television audience, Oklahoma seized the bully role and was the more physical of the two teams, and the result was a resounding 24-3 upset over the heavily favored Crimson Tide.

For one of the few times this season, and the first time against SEC conference opponents, the Sooners bested the Crimson Tide in virtually every statistical category with the most impressive being holding one of the county's top-10 scoring teams to a mere three points and over 100 yards below their season average for total offense.

"Without a doubt, Oklahoma was the most physical football team tonight," said head coach Brent Venables in his postgame press conference. "This was the vision and what we wanted the tape to say."

In the other interview room after the game, Alabama head coach praised OU quarterback Jackson Arnold and freshman running back Xavier Robinson for what they were able to achieve on the ground, rushing for a combined 238 yards, the most allowed by the Crimson Tide this season. "There were some momentum things early in the game that kind of took the wind out of our sails, put them on the field," head coach Kalen DeBoer said. "They (OU) kind of start churning the yards on the ground, winning the time of possession, and we couldn't get over the hump."

Here are 10 other notable numbers that help tell the story of the Sooners' incredible upset victory, one that was very reminiscent of the 2014 Oklahoma team's equally surprising 45-31 win over then-No. 3 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl that season.

1 -- Number of offensive trips inside the red zone the entire game. Oklahoma scored in three of four red zone trips.

5-0 -- Oklahoma is 5-0 when it wins the turnover battle this season. The Sooners' intercepted three Alabama passes on Saturday night (one of which was returned for a touchdown) while committing just one giveaway (a fumble in the first quarter).

8:38 -- Oklahoma owned almost a nine-minute advantage in time of possession over Alabama (34:11 to 25:49).

22 -- The Sooners have won 22 of their last 23 final home games of the season. Eight of the 22 wins have been against top-25 teams.

26 -- The win over Alabama made Oklahoma bowl eligible for the 26th consecutive season, the second longest active streak to Georgia's 27 consecutive bowl appearances.

34 -- Number of years it has been since an unranked Oklahoma team has beaten a top-10 opponent at home. The Sooners defeated No. 10 Nebraska 45-10 in 1990.

70 -- Alabama's 70 yards on the ground was is lowest rushing total in the 2024 season.

91 -- Number of yards by which OU outgained Alabama in the game (325 to 234).

100 -- The Sooners produced two 100-yard rushers against Alabama (Jackson Arnold wot 137 and Xavier Robinson with 108). It was the second time OU has produced two 100-yard rushers in the same game since Jovantae Barnes and Gavin Sawchuk did it against Florida State in the 2022 Cheez-It Bowl against Florida State.

257 -- Oklahoma's 257 rushing yards was the most allowed by Alabama all season.
