On a day he was getting honored, Jahdae Barron still had the Oklahoma Sooners on his mind.

After Googling who he was, Barron was a defensive back for the Texas Longhorns for five years before finally getting to move on to the NFL. He played in 56 games at Texas while making 38 starts.

During his five years with Texas, Barron got to experience the Red River Rivalry five times. He had a 2-3 losing record against the Sooners.

Barron finally broke out last season as a fifth-year senior and fully grown man. He was a First Team All-American by Associated Press and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in college football.

With the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in control of the award, Barron was in Oklahoma this week to officially receive his Jim Thorpe Award.

While in the area, Barron took a detour to Norman and posed for a picture with his trophy in front of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. He made sure to avoid Heisman Park, though.

Barron posted the photo on Instagram buried after other pictures from the NFL Scouting Combine.

While Texas fans enjoyed Barron's odd attempted troll job and made it known, Sooner Nation was unbothered.
