There's even more hardware the SEC had to post to Norman, Oklahoma.

A week after Oklahoma clinched the regular-season conference championship, the SEC on Friday announced its yearly awards, and there were a lot of Sooners mentioned, including Patty Gasso, who was named SEC Coach of the Year in OU's first season in the conference.

Also included was pitcher Sam Landry as SEC Newcomer of the Year and a host of other Sooners on the All-SEC teams.

Landry earned the award and was also named to the All-SEC First Team and SEC All-Defensive Team. In her first season at OU after transferring from Louisiana, Landry boasts a 19-4 record and 2.04 ERA. In her most recent outing on Thursday, Landry one-hit LSU to propel OU to its first win in the SEC Softball Tournament. She had a no-hitter going until the sixth inning.

Joing Landry on the All-SEC First Team were third baseman Nelly McEnroe-Marinas and left fielder Kasidi Pickering. Freshman shortstop Gabbie Garcia was on the second team.

OU was one of three teams to have at least three first-team honorees. The Sooners were also the only team with more than two players on the SEC All-Defensive Team. Landry received the honor along with Garcia and second baseman Ailana Agbayani.

Texas, which OU just swept two weeks ago, had the most All-SEC First Team selections with four. Arkansas' Bri Ellis was named Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year went to Karlyn Pickens of Tennessee.
