After two full weeks of SEC play, it's clear the Oklahoma Sooners should be more concerned about avoiding the bottom of the conference than rising to the top. The Sooners' 83-81 loss to Alabama on Saturday in Norman extended their losing streak to four games after winning their conference opener to Ole Miss. The skid has OU plummeting in SEC power rankings, but how low will the Sooners get in what should be Porter Moser's final season as head coach?

Where the Sooners sit in SEC Power Rankings

The cream always rises to the top. After stumbling some early on this season, the reigning national champions again look capable of another Final Four run while in the midst of a four-game winning streak that includes a 96-79 thumping of the Sooners in Norman last week.

Alabama has flirted with disaster, but still managed to mount a pair of SEC wins last week, including overcoming a halftime deficit against OU. The Sooners can at least save a little face with both of last week's losses coming to the two top teams in this week's power rankings. However, facing the Sooners could also by why these teams looked so good.

After a 16-0 start, SEC play has gotten the best of Vanderbilt with back-to-back losses. Florida's 98-94 win over Vandy on the road helped propel the Gators to the No. 1 spot.

The Aggies share the top postion in the SEC standings with Florida right now with 4-1 conference records. Their only SEC loss was to Tennessee in double overtime last week. Watch out for Texas A&M to keep rising if this continues.

The Bulldogs have some ugly SEC losses to Florida and Ole Miss, but are also one of the few teams with a winning conference record this early. A 90-76 blasting of Arkansas on Saturday kept Georgia inside the top 5.

Arkansas has struggled recently while losing two of its last three to slip outside the top 5 in SEC power rankings.

Missouri has been hard to judge with some horrible SEC losses, but is also the only conference team to beat Florida so far. The Tigers could end up a lot lower than this by the end if that Florida upset was just a fluke instead of a peek at what the Tigers are capable of.

Texas looked destined to be among the SEC bottomdwellers, but then beat Alabama and handed Vanderbilt its first loss of the season before barely losing to Texas A&M on Saturday.
