Following another big recruiting weekend at Oklahoma this past weekend, the Sooners picked up a 2025 commitment from an elite wide receiver who was one of the attendees.

Marcus Harris, a four-star prospect out of national powerhouse Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, announced his commitment on Monday via social media. He is ranked as the No. 17 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No, 164 player overall nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings. ESPN ranks Harris as the 10th best wide receiver in the class.

As a junior last fall, Harris caught 43 passes for 644 yards and six touchdowns and helped lead his Mater Dei team to a state championship.

247Sports national scouting and recruiting analyst Greg Biggins" had this scouting report on Harris:

"Harris is one of the top pass catchers in the country with a really nice all-around game. He's an explosive player who can get behind a defense, runs well after the catch and is a sure-handed pass catcher that you can go to on key third-down plays."

Harris' commitment represents a big 2025 recruiting win for Oklahoma and wide receivers coach Emmett Jones. The talent WR prospect held offers from over 20 Power Four schools, including 11 SEC teams. He reportedly chose the Sooners over Georgia, Tennessee, UCLA and Oregon.

The addition of Harris moved Oklahoma ahead of USC into the No. 7 position in the current 247Sports 2025 recruiting class rankings.

Harris is the 16th Oklahoma commitment for 2025. He joins Elijah Thomas and Gracen Harris as 2025 WR commits.
