Oklahoma junior defensive lineman Gracen Halton became the second OU player in as many weeks to receive SEC weekly honors.

Halton was named the conference's Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in the Sooners' 16-12 Week 2 win over Houston. OU kicker Tyler Keltner was Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the opening week of the season.

The 6-foot, 2 inch, 285-pound D-lineman from San Diego, California, entered the 2024 season with 3.5 career tackles for loss and no sacks. He had a career day against the Houston Cougars, recording a couple of tackles for loss, including a game-saving safety late in the fourth quarter, and a quarterback sack resulting in an 11-yard loss.

Two weeks into the 2024 season, Halton ranks second in the SEC among defensive linemen with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks for a loss of 20 yards.

Halton was part of an Oklahoma defensive line rotation that held Houston to just 58 rushing yards on 35 attempts, an average of 1.7 yards per attempt.

The Sooners will take on Tulane on Saturday afternoon at Gaylord Family--Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
