Oklahoma football earned a second major 2025 commitment on Thursday, picking up four-star defensive lineman Trent Wilson of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Wilson is 6-foot, 3 inches, 270 pounds and rated by 247Sports as four stars and the No. 18 defensive lineman and the No. 144 player in the 2025 national class. He is a consensus top-10 player in the state of Maryland.

Wilson chose the Sooners over offers from Penn State, Ohio State and more. He is the second defensive lineman who has committed to Oklahoma in the 2025 class, joining three-star Ka'Mori Moore, out of Lee's Summit, Missouri .

"I went everywhere and seeing what it was like out there, " Wilson told a writer for On3. :I was always looking for the fit before I got to go to Oklahoma. I liked what I knew about Coach (Brent)Venables and Coach (Todd) Bates off my research. Then I got there, and I knew that was it."

Wilson is the 13th commit to the Sooners' 2025 class. Earlier in the day, three-star cornerback Maliek Hawkins committed to OU. Maliek is the brother of OU freshman QB Michael Hawkins, Jr. The younger Hawkins brother chose Oklahoma over Texas and is rated as the No. 53 cornerback in the 2025 class nationally, according to 247Sports.

Maliek is the first CB commitment in the Sooners' 2025 class. Michael Hawkins, Sr., father of the two Hawkins brothers, played cornerback for OU under then Sooner defensive coordinator Venables in 2002.

According to 247Sports, Oklahoma's 2025 class ranks No. 6 in the country.
