Oklahoma added another defensive line commitment for 2025 with the addition on Saturday of Floyd Bouchard out of Canada.

The 6-foot, 3-inch, 315-pound Bouchard become the fifth defensive line commitment in the Sooners' 2025 class, which now totals 22 commitments.

Oklahoma beat out USC, Miami and Alabama in earning Bouchard's commitment. The Sooners offered Bouchard in early February and he visited the Norman campus on June 15. For a long time, USC was considered to be in the lead to land the defensive lineman from Montreal, Quebec. Nine days ago, he announced revealed his top four teams, and this past week he said he would announce his commitment on July 20.

The announcement came during a ceremony on Saturday in his home town of Montreal. Asked by reporters why he picked OU over his other finalists, Bouchard said, "The loyalty and love they've been showing since Day One. They saw something in me other teams didn't see before, so I had to go with them. Loyalty means everything."

Rivals ranks Bouchard as a four-star prospect and No, 17 at his position nationally. He joins fellow Sooner D-line 2025 commits Trent Wilson, CJ Nickson, Ka'Mori Moore, and edge rusher Alexander Shieldnight.

Bouchard will be one of two international-born players on the Oklahoma 2025 roster. The other is offensive lineman Daniel Akinkunmi from London, England, who is a member of the 2024 class and a freshman this season.

Although a Canadian native, Bouchard played his junior season at Mobile Christian High School in Alabama, where recorded 85 tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. He will play his senior season, however, at Miami Central High School in Florida.
