Brent Venables has already locked down commitments from 15 players in his 2025 class, which is shaping up to be one of the best in the country. The Sooners high school class is currently ranked fourth in the nation and could still add some major firepower if the weekend official visits scheduled for June 14 and 15 go well.
According to 247Sports, Oklahoma has yet to land a 2025 five-star, but two five-star offensive linemen, Ty Haywood and Michael Fasusi will be in Norman on Friday. The offensive line was a huge priority for Brent Venables this offseason, bringing in five linemen through the transfer portal and adding five more from the high school ranks.
Oklahoma’s offensive line also lost both its starting tackles, Tyler Guyton and Walter Rouse, to the NFL draft, and is only returning two players, Jacob Sexton and Troy Everett who played over 200 snaps on the offensive line.
In 2023, Gabriel was pressured 107 times but managed to keep a relatively low 14% pressure-to-sack ratio because of his athleticism. Arnold, more known for his impressive arm talent than pocket presence, will need much better play from the line.
Along with pass protection, Cortez Mills, a four-star receiver should be a priority for the weekend visit, especially with three of the five defensive players scheduled for the visit, already having commitments.
