As McCullough enters his junior year, the expectations are higher than ever. With a full offseason to continue developing his skills and build on his previous success, he is set to make a significant impact on the Sooners' defense.

With two years of experience under his belt, McCullough is expected to take on a more prominent leadership role. His ability to mentor younger players and lead by example will be crucial for the Sooners.

When it comes to athleticism, there is nobody more athletic than Dasan. The 6'5'', 223-pound linebacker is technically a cheetah in the Brent Venables system; however, that title is fitting because he is one of the fastest Sooner defenders.

In 2023, Dasan played in 10 games and recorded 30 total tackles (3.5 TFL) and 3 pass break ups. He seemed to struggle to adjust to the Sooners defense in 2023 while also struggling with nagging injuries as well.

While McCullough has shown proficiency in pass coverage, there is always room for improvement. Enhancing his ability to read the quarterback and anticipate routes could lead to more interceptions and pass breakups.

Maintaining a high level of performance throughout the season will be key. McCullough’s consistency in making impactful plays, whether through tackles for loss or crucial stops, will be essential for Oklahoma's success.

Expectations are massive for Dasan during his second season in Norman. Let's face it, he was overhyped entering 2023. He came to OU from Indiana, where he shined, and struggled to find his footing at Oklahoma. However, after a year in Norman, and a proper offseason, I see Dasan McCullough being a potential starter for the Sooners at the cheetah position.

Dasan needs to have a big year. he can't afford to have a lackluster year like last year again. The portal hits hard and Brent Venables is an excellent recruiter, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Dasan should be fine.

If Dasan can utilize his immense athleticism, experience, and passion he should be a massive contributor in 2024. If not, oh well... there is a ton of defensive depth. We're pulling for you Dasan, lets see what you really got.
