Those who cannot wait until spring arrives to see the most dominant college program of the past five years in action have an opportunity coming soon.
On Wednesday, OU softball announced its schedule for scrimmages this fall. While college softball season doesn’t start until early February, in the meantime the Sooners are already preparing for another Women's College World Series campaign with seven exhibition games between Oct. 3 and Nov. 6.
Sooners announce fall softball schedule
The slate consists of a nonconference Division-1 opponent in East Texas A&M and Oklahoma Christian from D2, while the remaining five dates are intersquad scrimmages known as the Battle Series. Except for the East Texas A&M game, all contests will be held at Love’s Field. There is no plan at the moment to live stream any of the contests, so Sooner fans will want to plan ahead and purchase tickets on sale right now for $10 to a single game or a $50 All Fall Pack to every home event.
The Sooners returned 13 players, including NFCA All-Americans junior UTL Ella Parker, sophomore INF Gabbie Garcia and junior OF Kasidi Pickering; and senior OFs, Gold Glove winner Ailana Agabayani and Abigale Dayton.
Joining the roster are the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class of 2026 with incoming freshmen INF Lexi McDaniel, OF Kai Minor, P Allyssa Parker, C Kendall Wells and RHP Berkley Zache.
Coming to Norman from the Transfer Portal are two right-handed pitchers in senior Sydney Berzon from LSU and sophomore Miali Guachino from Ole Miss, who seek to fill the void after ace arm Sam Landry graduated last season.
