ESPN and SEC analyst Paul Finebaum said what any Oklahoma Sooners fan would if they also had a mic in front of them.

Finebaum on Tuesday was a guest on the "Dari Nowkhah Show" on KREF and, unprompted, started roasting former OU football coach Lincoln Riley, who left in the middle of the night to USC because he was scared of the SEC. The audio of Finebaum's rant went viral on X and Sooner Nation was a big reason why as OU fans transformed into Finebaum's apostles.

"I can't think of anybody whose coaching has been more fraudulent since his first year with Caleb Williams," Finebaum said. "And I say that as somebody who admired what Lincoln Riley did at OU. I didn't admire the way he left. I really think -- and I know a lot of people are still gnashing teeth in Norman and Oklahoma City and across that state -- but I frankly believe that Sooner Nation is better off today than it would've been had he stayed around, because there is something wrong with this guy, Dari.

"And I know we don't have time, I know we're at the end of the segment, but I did want to close on that note. I am underwhelmed. I can't think of a coach in modern time who's making the kind of money he's making who has done less."

OU fans buzzing after Finebaum's Lincoln Riley roast

For much of Sooner Nation, it was the first time they've ever agreed with Finebaum. He's had plenty of reason to dog on the Sooners after they went 6-7 in their first year in the SEC.

But now, within exactly one minute, Finebaum became a hero in Oklahoma. At least until his next radio show when he goes after the Sooners.

And not only did Finebaum get Sooner Nation on his side, but maybe even USC fans? Does anyone actually like Lincoln Riley?
