One of Sooner Nation's biggest worries heading into Oklahoma's fall camp could be the biggest excitement coming out.

OU itself and local media keep leaking out highlights of receivers making incredible catches during fall camp. Injuries decimated the WR group last year, and then six left through the Transfer Portal once the season ended. The miserable passing game and mass exodus that resulted in an almost all-new set of receivers had OU fans concerned for who would be catching passes from new quarterback John Mateer once the season kicked off against Illinois State on Aug. 30.

However, even just the small glimpses we're getting out of fall camp not only show improvement, but are relaxing Sooner Nation a bit the closer the season gets.

The hype immediately started after a connection between Mateer and expected top target Deion Burks went viral on Day 1 of fall camp.

Most of the attention then went to Mateer because of the accurate long ball, but as more and more videos came out, the receivers started to steal the spotlight, especially this week. And Mateer wasn't even the QB throwing the ball in the most recent clip that got fans pumped when Mercer transfer Whitt Newbauer threw a dime to Burks.

The best catch we've seen out of fall camp probably came thanks to sophomore Ivan Carreon, who showed off his hands and 6-foot-6 frame. The big fella got way up.

Highlights like these just seem to be coming out daily. And it doesn't seem to matter who's throwing the ball or how tight the coverage is.
