The Oklahoma Sooners have another chance to get themselves a winning streak started.
The Sooners return to Norman to host South Carolina on Saturday after beating Mississippi State 23-15 on the road last week to get back in the win column. Entering Week 9, OU can win back-to-back games for the first time in 2026 while limping to a 4-3 record to this point.
The Gamecocks are hot, though, after doing what the Sooners haven't done yet, with two straight wins to improve to 4-3 and cool Shane Beamer's seat for his return to Oklahoma, where he was assistant head coach for the offense under Lincoln Riley. South Carolina just upset then-No. 11 Tennessee at home and beat then-No. 16 Florida on the road the week before that.
The winner keeps a small glimmer of College Football Playoff hope, while the loser will see what little is left vanish completely.
