The Oklahoma Sooners are struggling and limping their way into Athens.
The Sooners open SEC play against No. 2 Georgia on Saturday and have a lengthy injury list that includes four major contributors. There's also been the week-long question of whether defensive tackle David Stone will play.
Here is OU's injury report for its Week 4 matchup with Georgia, which includes who has to fill in because of the injuries, and will be updated until kickoff as we follow Stone's status.
S Michael Boganowski: OUT
This will be safety Michael Boganowski's second game in a row out after finally becoming an everyday starter this season. He had tallied six tackles in two games.
Replacement: Sophomore Omarion Robinson should get his second career start at free safety next to Peyton Bowen. He had five tackles last week in his debut start.
WR Jer'Michael Carter: OUT
Wide receiver Jer'Michael Carter appeared in the first two games, but hasn't recorded a stat yet this season. This will be his second game missed and thins out OU's receiver depth.
Replacement: This isn't a major blow, but it could open more opportunities for someone like Manny Choice if the Sooners get deeper into their rotation.
OL Michael Fasusi: OUT
Starting left tackle Michael Fasusi hasn't even played a full quarter yet this season after getting injured early in the season opener. He's been sidelined ever since, and his absence on the Sooners' offensive line has been obvious.
Replacement: Ryan Fodje will again fill in for Fasusi at left tackle. Fodje's usual spot is right guard, but he hasn't played there yet in 2026 since he's had to move around because of injuries. At right guard should be freshman Noah Best, who has started every game of his young career so far.
WR Trell Harris: OUT
Wide receiver Trell Harris will be a regular on the injury report for maybe the rest of the season, which is his first at OU after transferring from Virginia. He lacerated one of his major internal organs after taking a big hit against Michigan. Venables then said Harris will be out "for the foreseeable future."
Replacement: Sophomore Elijah Thomas is the one expected to step up the most in Harris' place and finally live up to his hype as a freak athlete from Checotah High School. He caught two passes for nine yards last week in the first game without Harris.
LB Taylor Heim: OUT
Linebacker Taylor Heim hasn't played a snap this season and will be another regular on here. The Sooners could use him right now, though, as a depth piece.
LB Cole Sullivan: OUT
Cole Sullivan is listed as the starter at SAM linebacker, but he’s not usually in the starting lineup based on formations. His second straight absence makes the Sooners' depth at linebacker scary, though.
Replacement: Kip Lewis returning definitely helps soften this blow, but the Sooners are still thin at linebacker. Owen Heinecke might not come off the field, and James Nesta will be the key reserve linebacker where needed.
David Stone: Questionable
Starting defensive tackle David Stone's status has been the biggest question of the week, and after still being listed as questionable on Friday night, we likely won't get an answer until 90 minutes before kickoff, when the final availability report will be released.
Stone dislocated his left kneecap at practice on Monday, and the initial fear was that he could miss the rest of the season, so it's really a surprise there's even a chance he plays today.
He would be a massive boost to help slow down Georgia's run game and also put some pressure on quarterback Gunner Stockton. The Sooners need Stockton to make some mistakes to even have a chance at an upset.
Stone is coming off his best game as a Sooner, leading the way with two tackles for loss and tying for the team high with eight tackles.
Replacement: As if Stone's availability wasn't enough of a question, who fills in for him could be one (or more) of four options: Trent Wilson, Braxton Fely, Bishop Thomas and Nigel Smith II. Fely is the most experienced, but he just joined the team the day before the season started as a 5-in-5 addition from Boise State.
Wilson and Smith have been with the program long enough to earn enough trust that it should be one of them to get the nod.
