The ball isn't just in the Oklahoma Sooners' court, but in their own city.
Shortly after decommitting from Minnesota, 2026 offensive tackle Daniel McMorris, from Norman North High School, will visit OU on Saturday while still waiting for an offer from his hometown team.

McMorris just decommitted from Minnesota on Monday after pledging to the Gophers in June after an official visit. He also took official visits to Tulsa, Kansas State, Oregon State and Iowa State this past summer. His recruitment has experienced a recent uptick, though.
After his recent decision, McMorris, a three-star recruit, became the highest-rated available offensive tackle in the 2026 class. According to the 247Sports Composite, McMorris, listed at 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, is the No. 44 OT in the class and No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
McMorris has gotten offers from Cal and Liberty since being back on the market, plus previous offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, Iowa State, Memphis, Kansas State, South Florida, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Washington State, Wisconsin and more. However, neither major in-state programs have offered McMorris yet, but the Sooners' could be coming this weekend.
The Sooners have two 2026 offensive linemen committed so far, but both are interior offensive linemen. McMorris would be OU's first OT added and just the second in-state commit after wide receiver Xavier Okwufulueze, from Rejoice Christian School in Owasso, became the first in-state commit on Tuesday.
