There was never any doubt who has the best men's basketball team in the state.

Oklahoma dismantled Oklahoma State 80-65 on Saturday night at the Paycom Center in what will be the only Bedlam meeting of the season. The Sooners never trailed in the game.

Bigger picture, the victory improved the No. 13 Sooners to 10-0 on the season while OSU dropped to 6-3. It's the second straight season OU has started with 10 wins in a row.

Here's a closer look with some superlatives from the Sooners' Bedlam win in Oklahoma City.

Game MVP: Sam Godwin

From Ada, the Oklahoma native had his best game of the season so far in the in-state rivalry.

Sam Godwin was the best player on the court from the very first points. He scored OU's first six points before finishing as the Sooners' leading scorer with a career-high 20. Even more impressively, all of his points were via field goal as he never visited the free throw line.

Godwin also pulled in 14 rebounds to post a double-double.

Play of the game

Jalon Moore has a knack for having the highlight of nearly every game this season. This time, he put force behind a two-handed slam to put an exclamation point late in the game.

Number to note: 21-9

The Sooners scored 21 points off turnovers compared to OSU's nine. Forced turnovers resulted in 26% of OU's points.

That's a 12-point difference in turnovers as OU won by 15 points. OSU turned the ball over 16 times, while OU did 12, so the Sooners just did a better job of taking advantage of the Cowboys' mistakes.

What's next

It's now time for OU's most challenging test of December.

The Sooners will compete in the Jumpman Invitational, which will set up a top-25 matchup against No. 14 Michigan. The 8-2 Wolverines are coming off an 89-87 loss to Arkansas on Tuesday.
