Every college football fan should already have plans set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
The preseason AP Top 25 recently revealed that Week 10 of the 2025 college football season will be loaded with potentially seven ranked head-to-head matchups, including the Oklahoma Sooners' road game against the Tennessee Volunteers.

Obviously rankings will look drastically different 10 weeks into the season, but it's at least set up to be a weekend that college football fans won't need to leave the couch.
Just remember…if your friend asks you to do anything on November 1st other than watch college football, they’re not really your friend.

Of the seven preseason ranked matchups, three will have giant SEC implications. Even if No. 24 Tennessee slips out of the top 25 by that point, winning a game in Knoxville will still be a challenge for the No. 18 Sooners, but also one they'll have to win to be in the top half of the conference.
Other SEC meetings include No. 13 South Carolina at No. 21 Ole Miss and No. 5 Georgia at No. 15 Florida.
Sooner Nation can also get some entertainment from the Sooners' old stomping grounds with Big 12 matchups between No. 11 Arizona State and No. 22 Iowa State, as well as No. 23 Texas Tech and No. 17 Kansas State.
Even with all these marquee games, it's still almost a guarantee ESPN's College GameDay will be back in Columbus for No. 2 Penn State vs. No. 3 Ohio State, which will could be a preview of the Big Ten Championship Game about a month later.
No. 10 Miami vs. No. 16 SMU in an ACC clash could also be another conference championship game preview that week.
What would make the day absolutely perfect, though, is if quarterback Diego Pavia can make some more magic happen and lead Vanderbilt to an upset over Texas in Austin.
