There will be no reason to leave the couch (or Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium) when the Oklahoma Sooners are playing during the 2025 college football season.

Every year, KFord Ratings rates and ranks the most watchable teams and games for the upcoming football season based on a weighted score of projected quality and competitiveness, according to KFord Ratings. During the 2025 season, OU should be appointment television for not only Sooner Nation, but all college football fans.

KFord Ratings deems OU one of most watchable teams in 2025

KFord Ratings ranked OU as the No. 2 most watchable team in the country based on average watchability score throughout the regular season with a watchability score of 7.93. Only Iowa State was higher at 8.05.

The biggest influence in that is the fact that KFord Ratings ranked nine of OU's 12 games as a top-10 must-see game during that week of the regular season. The only games that didn't make the cut were the Sooners' nonconference matchups against Illinois State (Week 1), Temple (Week 3) and Kent State (Week 6).

Kent State, which was 0-12 last season, is actually the least watchable team in FBS, according to KFord Ratings. OU fans also still have plenty of reason to watch the season opener against Illinois State as quarterback John Mateer debuts in Ben Arbuckle's new OU offense.

According to KFord Ratings, the Sooners have the game of the week twice. Although OU's other nonconference matchups are bland, the Sooners' home game against Michigan in primetime is the most watchable game for Week 2. OU's trip to South Carolina on Oct. 18 also tops all games that week.

The Red River Rivalry seems to be the most underrated matchup before 2025 kicks off as the No. 6 game on the list for the week of Oct. 11. However, if quarterbacks John Mateer and Arch Manning live up to the hype, possibly even setting up a meeting between two undefeated squads, then that could rise as one of the most watched games of the entire season.

Regardless, Sooner Nation will be watching OU every week the Sooners are playing no matter the opponent or if anyone else is. And truth be told, with a schedule littered with potential top-25 teams and close games, this schedule could end up being agonizing for Sooner Nation while the rest of the country enjoys.
