Vegas like the Oklahoma Sooners' chances against the Michigan Wolverines in a top-20 matchup.
The Sooners host Michigan at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The matchup between two blue bloods earned the primetime slot on ABC and ESPN College GameDay will be in Norman, putting all eyes on the game and also likely making it the most bet on matchup of Week 2 in the country.
What are the opening betting odds for Oklahoma vs. Michigan?
According to FanDuel, the Sooners opened as early 5.5-point favorites over Michigan as of Tuesday, with home-field advantage likely tipping things in OU's favor. That's the spread for every major betting platform. However, with OU having some players in question because of injury, that number could certainly change throughout the week, but the Sooners will likely remain favorites even if the spread shrinks.
The Sooners were just short of covering the spread last week in a 35-3 win over Illinois State in the season opener. FanDuel set that spread at 36.5 points on the morning of the game. It hovered at 35.5 most of the week, which still wouldn't have made a difference.
Michigan also failed to cover another massive spread at 34.5 points against New Mexico last week. The Wolverines won 34-17 at home.
The over/under for OU and Michigan's meeting was at 46.5 as of Tuesday. The Sooners were under that last week against an FCS opponent, largely thanks to holding Illinois State to just a field goal.
