The Oklahoma Sooners won't let quarterback Nash Henry get far as he continues to prove himself in the shadows of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Mike Roach of 247Sports reported on Wednesday that Henry, a 2028 QB from Norman North High School, has scheduled multiple visits for this month, including to Oklahoma down the road on Saturday, Arkansas on April 23, Northwestern on April 24 and Tulsa on April 30. Henry will be on campus with a host of other visitors for the Sooners' spring game.

Norman's Nash Henry visiting Oklahoma as stock rises

It's still extremely early in Henry's recruitment, as he's not even rated yet by any major recruiting outlet. That will soon change, though, as more programs show interest after Henry's stellar first season as a starter.

Henry completed 62.7% of his passes for 3,222 yards and 29 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions last season as a sophomore at the Class 6A-I level in Oklahoma. His passing total actually led all quarterbacks at the highest level of preps football in the state.

He's still awaiting his first FBS offer, but has already visited Oklahoma State, Cal, Stanford and Northern Illinois. He was also at OU during spring camp just last week. If OU does extend that early offer, then it seems like Henry would likely stay home and be a Sooner. Now, Henry just has to earn that opportunity.

So far, the Sooners have offered only one quarterback from the 2028 class in three-star Graham Simpson from Tennessee. According to the 247Sports Composite, Simpson is the No. 10 QB in the class, but those rankings will shift a lot throughout the next year as those prospects enter their junior seasons.

Henry, already listed at 6-foot-3, has all the intangible to soon rise as a top prospect in his class, and even though they haven't offered yet, it's smart of the Sooners to still keep Henry within arm's reach before someone else goes all-in early and OU misses out on a hometown product.
