Travis Hunter was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime player, but there could be another two-way star coming to college football soon, and he might even be a Sooner.
Two-way star Joel Wyatt on Thursday announced an offer from Oklahoma on X just a week before he's scheduled to announce his commitment. Wyatt is a consensus four-star athlete who has the ability to play both wide receiver and defensive back at the college level.

Sooners offer two-way star Joel Wyatt
Hunter took the football world by storm as a two-way star the past two seasons at Colorado and won the Heisman Trophy in 2024. The Jacksonville Jaguars then took Hunter with the second overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Most assumed we'd never see what Hunter did again in college football, but Wyatt certainly has the ability.
Wyatt, listed at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, could choose just one position in college, but, according to scouts, he's good enough to play wide receiver and safety at that level. He also plays linebacker in high school.
Assistant general manager Lake Dawson was the only person from OU that Wyatt tagged in his offer announcement, so it's unclear which position the Sooners want Wyatt at, or if it's even both.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Wyatt is the No. 4 athlete in the 2026 class and No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Tennessee out of The Webb School. He's also a top-50 overall player, according to 247Sports.
It looks like Wyatt will likely stay home, though. Rivals predicted him to choose Tennessee or Vanderbilt, which are also the only schools he's taken official visits to this summer. However, that was before his OU offer.
Wyatt also has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas A&M and more.
