Oklahoma fans have become accustomed over the past two seasons of lengthy injury reports for the Sooners, but Wednesday's SEC Availability Report ahead of hosting Missouri was likely as short as it's ever been for the Sooners with six total players on the sheet. For comparison, last week's initial availability report included 10 players, and even that didn't seem like much compared to past reports.

R Mason Thomas injury update

The shortened injured list doesn't mean the Sooners couldn't be without some talent against Mizzou, though. Starting defensive end R Mason Thomas was listed as questionable after being on the report all of last week before ultimately being sidelined in the Sooners' upset of Alabama. A questionable tag gives a player a 50% chance of playing.

Thomas was supposed to be the Sooners' biggest blow last week as their best pass rusher with 6.5 sacks. The Sooners still got to Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson four times without Thomas, though. However, they still need to have one of their greatest defensive assets to avoid an upset over the next two weeks and secure their spot in the College Football Playoff.

Cornerback Gentry Williams also missed last week and was listed as questionable on Wednesday. He's made five starts in six games this season. Fellow defensive back Kendel Dolby wasn't listed on Wednesday, but has become a regular last-minute addition as out. Thankfully for the Sooners with possibly two pieces missing from the secondary, the Tigers rely heavily on their ground game and could have a backup QB behind center.

Running back Jovantae Barnes was also again listed as questionable after being sidelined the last six games. On the flip side, though, running back Taylor Tatum was not listed after also being sidelined with Barnes the last several weeks.

Starting running backs Xavier Robinson and Tory Blaylock also weren't on the list despite being banged up. However, even though Robinson and Blaylock are expected to play, it will be nice for the Sooners to have Tatum back to share the load so Robinson and Blaylock can be 100% before a hopeful playoff run.

As usual, offensive linemen Troy Everett, Jacob Sexton and Jake Taylor will be out.

The biggest injury news of the game to follow, though, is on the other sideline. Missouri starting quarterback Beau Pribula was listed as doubtful after some hope he could return after missing the Tigers' last two games with an ankle injury.
