The Oklahoma Sooners already beat a few teams on their 2025 football schedule.
Defensive lineman Brian Harris on Friday announced on a live stream his commitment to the Sooners after narrowing down his choices on Sunday to OU, Alabama, Michigan, Penn State and South Carolina. The Sooners will be all those teams except for Penn State this upcoming season.

Harris re-opened his recruitment in February after decommitting from Maryland. On top of his top-5, he also had offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, West Virginia and more.
Rivals has been the highest on Harris as the only major recruiting service to give him four stars, while everyone else has Harris as a three-star recruit. The 247Sports Composite ranks Harris as the No. 63 defensive lineman in the 2026 class and No. 75 prospect in the state of Florida out of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Harris had 29 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 10 games last season as a junior, according to MaxPreps. He was also recently named DL MVP of the Under Armour Next Camp in Orlando, Florida.
The Sooners have added three defenders to their 2026 class just in the last two weeks. Before that, OU didn't have a single defensive player committed and had went months without a high school commitment of any kind.
Three-star safety Niko Jandreau ended the drought with his commitment on May 14. Just a few days later, OU added four-star linebacker Jakore Smith out of Arkansas.
The new defenders joined four offensive players, including quarterback Jaden O'Neal, wide receiver Daniel Odom, tight end Ryder Mix and offensive lineman Will Conroy.
Rivals ranks OU's 2026 class at No. 29 in the country after Harris' commitment. According to John Garcia Jr., Harris has canceled all of his other future official visits other than to OU on June 20 during the Sooners' ChampU recruiting weekend.
