The Oklahoma Sooners just keep loading up on offensive talent from the 2027 class.
Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported on Friday that three-star running back Jaxsen Stokes committed to the Sooners' 2027 class that was already No. 1 in the country even before the newest addition. OU general manager Jim Nagy had also hinted that another commitment was on the way with a post on X earlier on Friday.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Stokes, listed at 5-foot-9, is the No. 42 running back in the 2027 class and No. 54 overall prospect in the state of California out of Sierra Canyon High School. Despite the distance, the Sooners have developed a lengthy pipeline from California, with Stokes being the second commitment from the state already in the class after four-star wide receiver Demare Dezeurn.
Stokes also had offers from Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, USC and more. He was just in Norman for the Sooners' last home game against Ole Miss on Oct. 25.

Of the Sooners' six 2027 commits so far, Stokes is the fifth from the offensive side of the ball, joining Dezeurn and three offensive linemen. Those additions have OU with the top 2027 class in the country early on, according to the 247Sports Composite. Of the bunch, Stokes and offensive lineman Luke Wilson are the only ones with less than a four-star rating by the 247Sports Composite.
