No. 2 Oklahoma swept all four team events, as well as the top two spots in the all-around competition, on its way to a 198.425-196.875 win over No. 5 Georgia in SEC women's gymnastics action at Lloyd Noble Center on Friday afternoon.

The defending and seven-time national champion Sooner women remain unbeaten at 4-0-1 in 2026 and are 2-0 against SEC opponents. Three of OU's four outright wins were against teams ranked in the top 10 nationally and the tie was against LSU in the season-opening Sprouts Farmer's Market Collegiate Quad (although the championship trophy was awarded to the Sooners on the basis of a tiebreaker formula).

OU women's gymnastics dominates Georgia in home opener

Oklahoma's winning score against Georgia was the first 198-plus score posted this season in NCAA Division-I competition. The Sooners recorded four such scores in 2025 and 12 the year before.

The Sooners' overall and individual performance against Georgia was their best of the season. OU never trailed in the competition, taking a commanding lead right from the start with the highest team vault score in the nation this season (49.625), led by a near-perfect score of 9.975 by freshman Mackenzie Estep.

Three OU gymnasts (Estep, Addison Fatta and Hannah Scheible) scored 9.925 on the uneven bars, contributing to Oklahoma's winning team score of 49.474 in the second rotation.

Oklahoma also recorded the highest score nationally on the balance beam (49.675) in the third rotation. Two different Sooners (Fatta and Keira Wells) tied their career bests in leading off the event, and Elle Mueller set a career best score to fuel OU's team win on the apparatus.

The Sooners closed out the competition with another outstanding performance on floor, recording their highest score of the season in the event with a 49.650.

Fatta, a sophomore, was the all-around champion with a career-high score of 39.750. Three Sooners won individual titles between Estep on vault, Estep and Fatta sharing the bars title, and Faith Torrez on bars. Another freshman, Kamila Pawlak, shared the floor title with CaMarah Williams of Georgia, posting a career-best score of 9.950.

The Oklahoma women remain on track for a huge showdown with top-ranked Florida in Gainesville on Friday, Feb. 13. Before then, however, the Sooners have dates with unranked Kentucky on Friday, No. 3 Alabama at LNC on Feb. 6 and No. 8 Arkansas as part of the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth on Feb. 8.
