Bill Bedenbaugh got some reinforcements out of the transfer portal for Oklahoma's offensive line.

Former Stanford offensive lineman Luke Baklenko announced on Monday that he committed to the Sooners out of the transfer portal.

“Thank God for this amazing opportunity and thank you to everyone who helped me along the way,” Baklenko said in his intial Instagram post. “Back to work!”

Baklenko, a sophomore, played in 11 games and started nine this season at right tackle. He even started five contests last season as a freshman.

Already with over 1,000 snaps worth of Power Four experience in the ACC and Pac-12, Baklenko also has the size to compete in the SEC at 6-foot-6 and 305 pounds.

Baklenko is a three-star prospect as a transfer, according to 247Sports, which also ranks him as the No. 22 offensive tackle currently in the transfer portal. He was originally a three-star recruit out of Oaks Christian in California before choosing Stanford.

The Sooners needed help on the offensive line after an extremely disappointing season from the group. The O-line was especially horrendous at protecting quarterbacks, giving up 285 sacks. OU ranked better than only two other teams -- Florida State and Virginia -- in sacks allowed and sacks allowed per game.

Baklenko is the Sooners second commitment from the transfer portal so far after Kennesaw State punter Jacob Ulrich.

The Sooners are also the frontrunners in landing Washington State quarterback John Mateer, who 247Sports ranks as the No. 1 prospect currently in the transfer portal.
