The man just can't be stopped. That has to be what Oklahoma fans are thinking when it comes to Brent Venables and the job he's been able to do recruiting for the 2027 class. After a flurry of verbal pledges, it looks like another one could be on the way sooner rather than later.
Sooners finally lose a recruiting battle but it barely matters
That's because this week, 247Sports insider Blair Angulo has put in his official Crystal Ball pick for the Sooners to land touted safety Bode Sparrow. In addition to having a fantastic name, the 6-2, 180-pounder is also quite the playmaker, with 27 offers on the table. Will some good news be coming soon for Oklahoma?

Oklahoma has been predicted to land 4-star safety Bode Sparrow
This would be yet another fantastic get for Venables, as Sparrow indeed is a big-time talent. According to the 247Sports Composite, he's ranked the No. 3 athlete in the country, the No. 1 player from Utah and No. 66 prospect overall for the 2027 class.
In addition to the Sooners, the youngster has picked up offers from BYU, Michigan, Utah, Arizona and several others. Sparrow took an unofficial visit to OU earlier this month and he has an official visit locked in with the Sooners for late May.
At this time, he also has an OV set with BYU for June 19. Could those two programs be out in front for him? Maybe, but the fact that Angulo put in his prediction for Oklahoma to win this major recruiting battle sure says a lot about where the SEC powerhouse stands.
For now, Oklahoma and Venables hold 19 pledges, with 5-star commits Cooper Witten and Cooper Hackett headlining things. It indeed is the top class in the nation thus far and Venables is only going to keep building on things in the near future. It's safe to say Sparrow is on 'commit watch' moving forward. He'll be a monster get for the Sooners if he does in fact end up giving Venables the news that he's hoping for.
