Alabama has won 973 games all-time, third most in college football, Oklahoma has won 949, fifth most. and these same two teams are tied for the most 11-win seasons (27) in the history of the sport.

With impressive numbers such as these, it would lead one to conclude that the Saturday night matchup at the Gaylord Family--Oklahoma Memorial Stadium would be one for the ages. Only the Sooners and Crimson Tide are two teams whose seasons are headed in opposite directions on the same SEC highway.

These are just a few of the historical numbers associated with these two iconic college football brands. The following are several more that could play a factor as heavy underdog Oklahoma hosts No. 7 Alabama in OU's final home game of the 2024 season.

5.7 -- Oklahoma true freshman RB Xavier Robinson has averaged 5.7 yards per carry in his last two games.

11 -- Turnovers by OU quarterback Jackson Arnold (3 interceptions, 8 fumbles) out of Oklahoma's 18 total giveaways in 2024.

108 -- The difference by which Alabama has outscored its opponents in its last three games (128-20).

114 -- Oklahoma's ranking among FBS teams in third-down conversions. Alabama ranks 18th nationally in third-down conversion defense.

159 -- The Alabama game was the first sold out when the single-game tickets went on sale for the 2024 Oklahoma home schedule. It will be the 159th consecutive home sellout at OU since the beginning of the 1999 season.
